Why is humanity not mining other planets?

This is not economically feasible at this time.

At this point in time it is mainly because it would be difficult. You would need a device that can go into space, land on something like an asteroid, mine heavy metals or any other desired material, and then make a return trip to the earth while it orbits the sun.

The mining of metals in space has solved earthly problems such as ecology, shortage of rare metals. But also any metal mining in space would hit Earth market prices.

2 questions: How far are we from actually mining asteroids, and, is it going to crash the prices of precious metals?

Because this is not a prediction, but an expression of the intentions of the state

They are just voicing the plans for several years ahead as if it were a prediction.

They cannot predict the simplest things, and the coronavirus is predicted with day-to-day accuracy, when it will start and when it will end, and how many waves there will be.

Even the best government cannot predict the future - so why do we trust them to design it?

Parties are losing popularity because of the difficult situation in the economy: the welfare of citizens is falling against a background of 10% inflation caused by rising energy prices. All the problems will be blamed on the current chancellor.
